Spomyn ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your information. Fundamentally, Spomyn is designed as an offline-first application; we do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data.

1. Location Data

Spomyn requires access to your device's location services (GPS) to function as a navigational aid and to facilitate automatic visit logging. This data is processed exclusively on your device. We do not transmit your location coordinates to any external server, nor do we store a history of your location on our systems. Your movement history and GPX tracks are stored locally within the application's private database on your device.

2. User Content & Photos

You may choose to attach photos and notes to your visit logs. This content is stored locally on your device in the application's secure sandbox. Spomyn requests access to your photo library solely for the purpose of allowing you to select and attach specific images to your journal. We do not have access to your full library, and your photos are never uploaded to our servers.

3. Cloud Backups (Optional)

Spomyn offers an optional feature to back up your visit history and wishlists to your personal cloud storage (iCloud on iOS or Google Drive on Android). If you enable this feature, your data is transmitted directly from your device to your personal cloud account. This data remains encrypted and under your control. Spomyn (the developers) has no access to these backups or the credentials used to access them.

4. Map Data & Third Parties

To display maps, the application downloads vector map tiles from OpenFreeMap or our content delivery network. These requests are necessary to fetch visual map data but are not used to track your identity or location history.

5. Payments

Any purchases made within the app (such as the "Pro Version" upgrade) are processed directly by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Spomyn does not collect, store, or process your credit card information or financial data.
